Job Opportunity: Urologist

Our organization is on the lookout for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Urologist to take on a leadership role within our Urologic portion of the URPS program and fellowship. This position will be situated at both:

• Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC) , our academic medical facility located in Lebanon, NH
• Valley Regional Hospital (VRH) , a critical access hospital in Claremont, NH

Both locations are nestled in the picturesque, rural Upper Valley of New Hampshire. The selected candidate will join the Dartmouth Health system's URPS program, with the intention of stepping into the directorship of the urological segment as our current director approaches retirement. Additionally, this role will involve spearheading initiatives to expand and enhance our URPS program in New Hampshire and Vermont, particularly at Valley Regional Hospital.

• A genuine passion for rural healthcare
• A collaborative spirit, working closely with primary care providers, referring urologists, and OBGYNs

We are currently seeking two faculty members who will operate at both Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and Valley Regional Hospital—one focusing on general urology and the other specializing in Urological Reconstruction and Pelvic Surgery. There is a particular interest in developing a robotic surgery program at Valley Regional Hospital.

Educational Commitment

Our organization is dedicated to medical education, and the successful candidate will be expected to actively participate in the education of medical students and residents, as well as engage in research activities. Exceptional communication skills and a proven record of professionalism are essential.

Academic appointments will be granted based on experience by the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. Participation in academic and educational opportunities at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center is highly encouraged.

Licensure and Certifications Required

• MD, DO, or an equivalent degree
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Urology; candidates must have completed or be nearing completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Urology
• Must secure and maintain a medical license in the state of New Hampshire
