Retail Project Manager

Job Title: Sr. Project Manager / Technical Program Manager -- Retail Planning Systems Location: Manhattan, NYC -- Hybrid (3 Days Onsite) Duration: Long-Term Contract Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / Technical Program Manager (TPM) with strong experience supporting Retail IT Planning Systems and large-scale technology programs. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing multiple concurrent workstreams, coordinating cross-functional teams, driving program delivery, and communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives. This role requires a hands-on program leader who can operate effectively in a complex and fast-paced environment, manage dependencies across teams, and bring structure and accountability to ambiguous situations. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage large-scale Retail IT programs and projects from planning through delivery. Support Retail Planning Systems leadership and technology teams across multiple initiatives. Manage multiple concurrent workstreams, ensuring timelines, milestones, and deliverables remain on track. Partner with other Project Managers and Program Managers to identify, manage, and resolve cross-project dependencies. Develop, maintain, and own comprehensive high-level program plans and detailed project schedules. Track project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and critical path activities. Proactively manage risks, issues, action items, decisions, and dependencies. Drive accountability across cross-functional teams and ensure timely completion of deliverables. Facilitate project and program meetings, status reviews, and executive-level presentations. Provide clear and concise communication tailored to different audiences, from technical teams to senior executives. Collaborate with business, technology, product, and other program stakeholders to ensure alignment. Drive delivery using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, depending on project requirements. Identify potential challenges early and develop mitigation and contingency plans. Operate effectively in an environment with evolving priorities, incomplete information, and ambiguity. Provide regular program status updates, including milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and overall health. Required Qualifications 10 years of experience in Senior Project Management, Program Management, or Technical Program Management. Proven experience supporting Retail IT Planning Systems or related retail technology initiatives. Experience managing multiple concurrent workstreams within large-scale programs. Strong experience with cross-functional program delivery and dependency management. Demonstrated ability to create and manage both high-level program plans and detailed project plans. Strong experience managing risks, issues, action items, decisions, and dependencies. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Comfortable presenting to and communicating with senior leadership and executive stakeholders. Hands-on experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
