Overview Independent contractor driver for a 26‑ft box truck with lift gate. Work primarily outbound and inbound runs, including night routes. Choose between weekend home time or longer runs depending on your preference. Responsibilities Operate the assigned truck and ensure on‑time freight delivery. Use the lift gate and pallet jack to load and unload cargo. Keep accurate driving logs and comply with all DOT regulations. Coordinate with dispatch for route planning and freight management. Drive both out‑and‑back/short haul routes and longer dedicated routes as available. Qualifications Own or have access to a 26‑ft box truck with lift gate and pallet jack. DOT/MC status – you may have it or not. Valid DOT medical card. No DUI/DWI in the last 7 years and satisfactory background check. Hazmat certification preferred; training can be provided if needed.
