The selected clinician will practice at the top of scope in diagnostic and rehabilitative voice care within a nationally and internationally recognized academic voice program.While the Voice Center is recognized for caring for elite professional voice users, this role is grounded primarily in adult medical voice and airway disorders.About the Vanderbilt Voice CenterThe Vanderbilt Voice Center was founded by Dr. Robert Ossoff and was the first academic voice center of its kind. Today, it remains the largest voice center in the world and serves as a national and international referral destination for complex voice disorders.The Center has cared for professional voice users across many industries, including performing artists, broadcast and media professionals, educators, attorneys, clergy, and others whose voices are central to their work. While these opportunities exist, they develop over time and with experience; the majority of care focuses on medically complex adult voice and airway conditions.The Vanderbilt Voice Center is a nationally recognized multidisciplinary outpatient program within the Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at Vanderbilt Health’s main hospital campus.The team includes:Five laryngologistsTwo laryngology fellowsEight full-time voice-specialty Speech-Language PathologistsThis position is fully integrated across:The Vanderbilt Voice CenterHead & Neck OncologyCraniofacial and airway teamsCare delivery is embedded, collaborative, and built on real-time interdisciplinary evaluation and shared clinical decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive evaluation and rehabilitation for primarily adult voice and airway disordersPerform and interpret rigid and flexible laryngeal endoscopyCollaborate directly with laryngologists within a co-evaluation and co-management modelParticipate in specialty care pathways, including: Laryngeal dystonia (spasmodic dysphonia) and vocal tremor.
