Job Summary

Hook & Reel is seeking experienced, energetic, and guest-focused Bartenders to join our team. The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, providing exceptional guest service, maintaining a clean and organized bar area, and ensuring compliance with all alcohol service laws and company policies. Successful candidates will have strong product knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to company recipes and standards.
• Provide friendly, attentive, and professional service to all guests.
• Verify guest age and identification in accordance with state and local alcohol laws.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, equipment, and supplies.
• Process guest orders accurately through the POS system.
• Monitor guest alcohol consumption and promote responsible alcohol service.
• Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, and bar supplies.
• Maintain accurate cash handling and payment processing procedures.
• Assist servers with beverage orders and support overall restaurant operations.
• Complete opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company policies.

Job Requirements

• Must meet the minimum legal age requirement to serve alcohol in the applicable state.
• Previous bartending experience preferred.
• Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and classic cocktails.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Responsible alcohol service certification preferred or required based on local regulations.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
