Patient Scheduler
River Valley Health is seeking a highly organized, quick-thinking Patient Scheduler to keep our medical services running smoothly. You'll be the planner behind the scenes coordinating appointments, optimizing provider schedules, and ensuring patients get timely access to care.
What You'll Do
- Manage daily schedules for primary care providers
- Book, adjust, and confirm patient appointments
- Anticipate scheduling conflicts and solve them before they become problems
- Communicate clearly with patients, providers, and support staff
- Maintain accuracy in our scheduling and EMR systems
- Support front-desk operations as needed
Requirements
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to remain calm and effective during busy or stressful periods
- Proficiency with EMR systems (Epic, Athena, eClinicalWorks, etc.) preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology is helpful
- Previous experience in medical scheduling, front desk operations, or healthcare office setting is strongly preferred
