Job description:

We are hiring technicians to perform right of way maintenance including, mowing, ground trimming, leaf blowing and herbicide application.

This is a TRAVELING position and will require being away from home for 2-4 weeks at a time.

Compensation:


$50,000.00-$80,000.00 first year

$60,000.00-$95,000.00 in subsequent years

Overtime Eligible: 40-70 hours/week of overtime available while deployed

Per Diem & Travel: $40.00/day per diem for meals; hotels and fuel are company-paid

Work Environment


Work in outdoor field environments including remote, rural and urban locations.

Physical demands include:

Operating mechanical and power equipment across various surfaces including uneven, rough, steep terrain, hills, and slopes.
Field-based role in outdoor environments, including remote, rural, and urban locations
Physical demands include hiking and walking on various surfaces such as flat, wet, slippery, uneven, steep, and rough terrain
Exposure to noise, dust, grease, pollen, plant debris, and all weather/temperature conditions

Schedule & Time Off

Typical deployment schedule: approx. 2 weeks deployed, 1 week home from March through October
Deploy on Sundays and return the third Monday (16-day deployments)
5 full days at home between deployments
A few weeks off available in November and December
Up to 16 weeks of PTO available for motivated earners

Field responsibilities:

Perform all duties in a professional manner
Communicate clearly and in a timely manner with the office
Book hotels
Manage road expenses (food, fuel, hotel)
Take before and after photos of work areas
Fill out reports and upload them
Routing plan using provided mapping software
Driving a pickup truck and trailer
Mow with a zero turn mower
Trim brush and landscaping
String trim
Apply herbicide
Pick up trash
Blow leaves

Requirements:

Travel 168-200 days between March 1st and Dec 15th
Commercial applicators license (can be obtained after being hired)
Valid driver's license
Competency driving a pickup truck while pulling a trailer
Competency operating power equipment: Chainsaw, Hedge trimmer, String trimmer
Competency operating a zero turn mower
Excellent reading comprehension
Good written and verbal communication skills
Basic computer skills
Basic mechanical skills
Able to problem solve and collaborate to find solutions
Able to multi-task and give attention to detail
Experience doing manual labor or skilled trades
Sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in a field environment and drive for long periods of time
Able to lift or move heavy objects up to 150 lb.

Experience in lawn care, tree service, agriculture or forestry is preferred but not required.
