Backend Java Developer

Location: Alpharetta, GA – Hybrid (3 Days/Week) - Local Candidates Only Experience: 8–15 Years

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Backend Java Developer to lead the design and implementation of scalable microservices architectures that improve system performance, reliability, and maintainability.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, Spring Core, Microservices, REST Web Services, Kafka, Oracle, and PL/SQL, along with experience in Cards & Payments and/or Asset & Wealth Management domains.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable microservices architectures.
  • Develop and deploy RESTful web services for seamless application integration.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Integrate Kafka for efficient data streaming and real-time processing.
  • Utilize Oracle and PL/SQL for database management, data integrity, and performance optimization.
  • Develop applications using Spring Boot and Spring Core.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application and integration issues.
  • Support scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend solutions.
Required Skills

  • 8–15 years of experience in Java backend development.

  • Strong expertise in Core Java.

  • Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Spring Core.

  • Strong experience with Microservices Architecture.

  • Extensive experience developing REST Web Services/APIs.

  • Strong knowledge of Apache Kafka and real-time data streaming.

  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Database and PL/SQL.

  • Strong understanding of application integration and distributed systems.

  • Experience with code reviews and software development best practices.

Domain Experience

  • Experience in Cards and Payments is preferred.

  • Experience in Asset and Wealth Management is preferred.

  • Strong understanding of financial services applications and related business processes is a plus.
