HVAC Service Technician / HVAC-R TechnicianAir Zone Plus LLC | Houston, TXAir Zone Plus LLC is hiring an experienced HVAC Service Technician with 35 years of hands-on experience in residential and light-commercial HVAC. The ideal candidate can diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install HVAC systems independently while providing honest, professional customer service.Responsibilities:Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair residential and light-commercial HVAC systemsPerform HVAC change-outs, system replacements, and new-construction installationsInstall condensers, furnaces, air handlers, coils, thermostats, ductwork, drain lines, and refrigerant linesPerform preventive maintenance, startup, testing, refrigerant charging, airflow checks, and quality-control inspectionsRead wiring diagrams, schematics, equipment manuals, and installation instructionsDiagnose electrical, mechanical, airflow, refrigerant, drainage, thermostat, and control issuesService walk-in coolers, freezers, and ice machines as assignedComplete accurate service notes, photos, invoices, and job documentationMaintain a clean company vehicle, tools, and jobsiteCommunicate clearly with customers and team membersParticipate in on-call, overtime, and emergency service as neededRequirements: must have tools and transportation valid drivers license and be able to pass a background check35 years of HVAC or HVAC/R service, repair, and installation experienceStrong troubleshooting and diagnostic skillsExperience with HVAC system change-outs and new-construction installationExperience with walk-in coolers and ice machines preferredCurrent EPA Section 608 Universal Certification requiredValid Texas drivers license and acceptable driving recordAbility to work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and outdoor conditionsAbility to lift HVAC tools, equipment, and materials safelyProfessional attitude, dependable attendance, and strong customer-service skillsAir Zone Plus values quality work, honest service, and technicians who take pride in solving problems correctly.
