As a Structural Engineering Professional Intermediate - NW Region , you will be an integral member of the design team, performing a significant portion of structural analysis and design for our projects. You will collaborate closely with the Structural Lead, other Structural Engineers and Designers, and cross‑disciplinary teams to develop concepts, complete analyses, and translate requirements into models. It is expected that you have a solid foundation in structural engineering fundamentals, experience with US building codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC), an understanding of how structural design integrates with other disciplines, and a growing awareness of business trends and industry challenges. You will take increasing responsibility as your experience grows. Responsibilities Under general supervision, competently perform all conventional aspects of Structural Engineering analysis and design. With guidance, develop judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. Develop engineering judgment and problem‑solving skills, reaching out for guidance or confirmation when needed. Develop knowledge of lateral analysis and design (wind and seismic), including application of required building‑code provisions. Exhibit a high level of attention to detail and quality control: Check your own work, and seek peer or senior guidance when necessary. Perform calculation checking of other engineers’ work. Take responsibility for managing workload and ensuring commitments are met: Own your portion of the structural scope, working reliably to meet schedule, budget, and quality requirements. Initiate actions when tasks have ill‑defined conditions, determining what is needed to meet project and client needs. Forecast effort needed to complete scope and identify scope changes, escalating them to your Structural Lead. Reach out for help when needed, and work in a timely, accurate, and cost‑effective manner with strong attention to detail. Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering. At least 2 years of Structural Engineering experience. Experience with US building codes, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering or a Master’s in Structural Engineering. Experience with Structural Engineering analysis software, Navisworks, and Bluebeam. Experience designing and analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures. Experience in semiconductor industrial or general industrial facilities. Additional Requirements Your home location must be in the Northwest region of the U.S. (AK, ID, MT, OR, WA, or WY) or Canada. The base salary range for this position is $74,700.00 to $102,700.00. Pay within the range is determined by location, skills, experience, and education.
