Engagement Manager - CPG + Retail (New York, NY)

Senior AI & Data Analytics Consultant

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced AI & Data Analytics Consultant with strong client-facing experience to support strategic initiatives across the CPG and Retail sectors .

This is a senior individual contributor role focused on AI and analytics consulting, client advisory, solution development, technical sales support, executive stakeholder engagement, and collaboration across pre-sales and delivery teams.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise across AI, data engineering, analytics, and enterprise transformation with strong business and consulting skills. You should be comfortable operating independently, navigating ambiguity, engaging senior stakeholders, and translating complex business challenges into practical, scalable technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Client Advisory & Solution Development

• Lead discovery workshops, executive discussions, and solutioning sessions.

• Translate business priorities into scalable AI, data, and engineering solutions.

• Advise organizations on AI, analytics, data, and digital transformation opportunities.

• Develop solution approaches, proposals, and strategic transformation roadmaps.

• Support RFP responses, presentations, and complex solution development initiatives.

• Build trusted relationships with senior business and technology stakeholders.

AI, Data & Analytics Consulting

• Advise on modern AI/ML, Generative AI, data engineering, cloud, and analytics architectures .

• Identify and develop AI and analytics solutions for complex business challenges.

• Provide practical guidance on operationalizing AI at scale.

• Apply expertise across CPG and Retail use cases, including:

  • Revenue Growth Management (RGM)

  • Demand forecasting

  • Supply chain analytics

  • Retail execution

  • Customer analytics

  • Marketing effectiveness

  • Pricing and promotions

  • Personalization

  • Trade promotion optimization

Executive Stakeholder Engagement

• Engage with senior technology and business leaders, including CIO, CDO, CTO, Data & Analytics, Digital, and business stakeholders.

• Act as a trusted advisor during complex transformation initiatives.

• Communicate complex technical concepts and business implications clearly to executive audiences.

• Navigate cross-functional enterprise environments with strong executive presence.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, architects, consultants, and delivery teams.

• Bridge business strategy with technical execution.

• Contribute to the successful delivery of enterprise AI and analytics solutions.

• Mentor and support junior team members where appropriate.

Required Experience

• Approximately 10+ years of professional experience in areas such as:

  • Enterprise AI/Data consulting

  • Technical pre-sales

  • Analytics consulting

  • Solution architecture

  • Client-facing engineering leadership

• Strong experience working with enterprise CPG and/or Retail organizations .

• Hands-on practitioner experience applying technology, data, and analytics to real-world business challenges.

• Experience working directly with senior business and technology stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability to operate independently in complex and ambiguous environments.

• Experience translating business requirements into practical technical solutions.

Technical Expertise

Strong working knowledge across:

• Generative AI and LLM ecosystems

• Machine Learning and Advanced Analytics

• Data Engineering and modern data platforms

• Cloud ecosystems, including AWS, Azure, and GCP

• MLOps / AI Ops

• Enterprise architecture and scalable AI deployment

• BI and data visualization

• Data governance

• Enterprise data strategy

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Fortune 500 organizations.

• Strong domain expertise in CPG and/or Retail .

• Existing relationships within CPG/Retail ecosystems.

• Experience supporting enterprise transformation initiatives.

• Experience with large-scale AI or digital transformation programs.

• Background in consulting, enterprise technology, AI, analytics, cloud, or digital transformation.

• Strong understanding of enterprise operating models and digital transformation.

Location & Work Model

• New York / Tri-State area preferred

• Hybrid work model

• Travel may be required based on business and project needs.
