Substitute Paraprofessional

Paraprofessional Position

Dixon Public Schools is looking for individuals who would be willing to substitute as a paraprofessional in our school buildings. This would be on an as-needed basis and times and days could vary. Paraprofessional duties include monitor and supervise students, working in a classroom setting or 1-on-1 with a student as needed. Paraprofessional qualifications include highly qualified parapro approval (60 hours post-secondary work shown on a transcript or a passing score on the parapro assessment/diploma or GED), interest and ability to work with students/teachers, ability to work with others as well as independently, and ability to multi-task. A paraprofessional license is required.
