Assembler/Heavy Lifter

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Assembler/Heavy Lifter to join our manufacturing team. This role involves assembling complex industrial components and shelving using various types of power tools, operating heavy machinery, and ensuring the safe handling of large materials. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical skills. Duties

• Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide assembly and fabrication tasks.
• Operate heavy lifting equipment such as forklifts safely and efficiently to transport materials within the facility.
• Assemble components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and machining tools to meet specified standards.
• Perform electrical wiring and install electrical components in accordance with electrical schematics and safety protocols.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and dial gauges to ensure parts meet exact specifications.
• Fabricate parts through cutting, welding, drilling, and machining processes to support manufacturing requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety regulations at all times.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to review schematics and troubleshoot assembly or fabrication issues.
• Support quality control procedures by inspecting finished assemblies for accuracy and integrity.
• Assist in the setup and calibration of industrial equipment including CNC machines and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).

Skills

• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams essential for accurate assembly.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in fabrication, machining, welding, and assembly processes.
• Electrical experience including wiring, troubleshooting electrical systems, and understanding of industrial electrical standards.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CNC machinery, and industrial automation systems.
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Experience operating forklifts or other heavy lifting equipment safely within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of manufacturing safety protocols and adherence to OSHA standards.
• Ability to interpret schematics related to electrical wiring and mechanical assemblies.
• Competence in fabricating parts through welding, machining, drilling, or cutting techniques.
• Strong teamwork skills with effective communication across departments involved in assembly or fabrication. This position is integral to maintaining high standards of quality in our manufacturing processes. Pay: $18.00 -$20.00 an hour DOE

Shift: Days 7:00AM-4:00PM W/ 1 hr lunch break
