Shift Details

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified travel nurse for a Level II NICU position. Candidates must have a compact nursing license and a minimum of 2 years of experience, including float requirements as needed. Previous permanent employees of any affiliated facility must have been separated from the health system for at least 3 months to be eligible for this position.

Unit Information

• Level II NICU admissions for infants 32 weeks or greater
• Responsibilities include attending vaginal and cesarean deliveries
• Assist with CPAP/BiPap, feeding tubes, and syringe pumps
• Attend all deliveries, including high-risk scenarios

Required Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

Job Qualifications

• Previous charge experience preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
• Experience with patient ratio management
• Proficient in charting systems
• Additional experience in an LTAC or Trauma Level I or II facility is a plus

Skills Required

• Ability to attend high-risk deliveries
• Proficient in feeding techniques (bottle, breast, gavage)
• Neonatal dosage calculations
• Management and placement of oral, nasogastric, and nasojejunal tubes
• Ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP)

Important Information

• Travelers may be required to float between nearby sister facilities, and refusal to float may lead to assignment termination.
• If required for the assignment, the employer agrees to provide necessary communication devices at no cost to the provider.
• Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).
