A residential building in Manhattan is seeking an experienced, dependable, and professional Handyman to assist with the daily maintenance and repair needs of the property.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general repairs and preventive maintenance throughout the building
• Complete basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, plastering, and hardware repairs
• Respond promptly and professionally to resident maintenance requests
• Assist with apartment turnovers and preparation of vacant units
• Repair doors, locks, cabinets, fixtures, walls, ceilings, and flooring
• Inspect common areas and building equipment for needed repairs
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, tools, and supplies
• Coordinate with building management, staff, and outside vendors
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and applicable NYC building regulations
• Assist with building emergencies and other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• At least two years of residential building maintenance or handyman experience preferred
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and plastering
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and complete repairs independently
• Professional, dependable, punctual, and resident-service oriented
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and perform physical work throughout the shift
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Availability for occasional emergencies, overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
