Mechatronics & Robotics Technician - JLL Location: Tampa, FL (On-site) Overview We are seeking an experienced Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to support our Operations Maintenance team by repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. The role involves installing automated packaging and distribution equipment and mentoring junior technicians. Responsibilities Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures. Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all MHE (belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, etc.). Maintain positive working relationships across all Operations facilities. Track and store department inventory. Move up to 49 lbs and stand, walk, and work during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation. Travel up to 20% of the time. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas, including weekends, nights and/or holidays. At least 2 years of experience repairing material handling equipment. At least 2 years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures. Preferred Qualifications Associate's or higher degree from a vocational school or college focused on Mechanical or Electrical disciplines. At least 2 years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls. At least 1 year of blueprint and electrical schematic reading. At least 1 year of knowledge of electrical and electronic principles. Experience with MHE safety standards in accordance with OEM and other safety standards. Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Experience with robotic or electromechanical operation and maintenance. Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions. Physical capability to lift tools and parts, averages 20 lbs, optionally up to 49 lbs. Physical Demands Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking. Lifting parts and tools weighing on average 20 lbs, occasionally up to 49 lbs. Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, foot (foot pedals), and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation). Use of small spaces, exposure to dust, fumes, hot/cold temperatures, noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and uneven surfaces. Standing/walking on concrete surfaces for 10+ hour shifts. Working at heights as required. Pushing/pulling wheeled equipment and carts up to 100+ lbs.
