Job Description TURN Community Services in Orem, UT is looking to hire a full-time Day Paradise Art & Learning Center DSP to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the American Fork, Orem, or Springville area. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PARADISE ART & LEARNING CENTER DSP As a Paradise Art & Learning Center DSP, you support people with developmental disabilities to live their best lives as independently as possible. Your support is needed in many areas of daily living including self-care, hygiene, motor skills, arts and crafts, vocational skills, work habits, and community inclusion. Additionally, you assist with behavior management and recreational activities. Using effective teaching and mentoring techniques, you provide support for our clients with their day-to-day schedules. You are always careful to model appropriate social skills and behaviors. Conscientiously, you keep accurate and up-to-date documentation as well as promptly report any concerns about health or safety. You find it very rewarding to help these wonderful individuals, which is why you're perfect for this caregiving position with our human services organization! QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PARADISE ART & LEARNING CENTER DSP 18+ years of age Valid driver's license and a reliable personal vehicle A heart for serving people with developmental disabilities Do you have strong communication and interpersonal skills? Are you discreet with confidential information? Can you show compassion while maintaining professional boundaries? Are you calm, flexible, and patient? Can you work well as part of a team?
