About the Opportunity

• Elevate Legal Talent is partnering with a global leader in financial information, market intelligence, and data analytics solutions. This organization provides critical insights, benchmark data, and technology solutions that help businesses, investors, and governments make informed decisions worldwide.
• The company is seeking a highly skilled professional with experience in sales compensation plans, policy development, and governance frameworks to support a significant initiative involving the harmonization of compensation programs across two major business divisions.
• This role sits at the intersection of legal, finance, sales operations, and policy governance and offers the opportunity to partner directly with senior executives, including divisional finance leadership.
• This is not a traditional contracting or transactional counsel role. The successful candidate will leverage a legal, compliance, and policy-oriented mindset to support compensation governance, policy harmonization, and executive-facing advisory work.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and revise existing sales compensation and commission plans.
• Draft new policies, procedures, and governance frameworks related to sales compensation programs.
• Support the integration and alignment of compensation structures across multiple business divisions.
• Partner closely with Finance, Sales, and executive leadership to ensure compensation plans are clear, compliant, and operationally effective.
• Review definitions, terms and conditions, and plan documentation to improve consistency and governance.
• Advise on related policies, including leave policies, account transitions, and compensation administration.
• Support compensation-plan harmonization, governance, and policy standardization initiatives across business units.
• Facilitate communication between finance, sales operations, and leadership stakeholders.
• Produce high-quality written materials, policy documents, and executive-facing communications.

Required Qualifications

• Attorney licensed and in good standing to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Demonstrated experience working with sales compensation plans, commission structures, incentive compensation programs, or compensation governance frameworks
• Strong policy drafting, policy review, analytical writing, and governance experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with executive stakeholders, including Finance, Sales Leadership, Revenue Operations, and Compensation teams.
• Experience supporting Finance, Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, Compensation, or similar business functions.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft executive-facing policies, procedures, and governance materials.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Strategic, business-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail.
