RN - Oncology

Registered Nurse

The position is for a busy Hematology/Oncology clinic with an infusion suite. The clinic has 35 bays and beds with an average patient ratio of 1:6. Candidates will be responsible for triage calls and nurse navigation. Duties will include patient care, injections, and prescription refills. Assisting in a multi-disciplinary clinic is also required. Experience with IV and port placement is necessary. Candidates should have experience in the administration of chemotherapy agents. Basic computer proficiency is required, including the ability to access, enter, and interpret computerized data/information. Effective interpersonal skills are needed to facilitate communication with various members of the healthcare team, patients, and families. Candidates should have strong organizational skills to set priorities and efficiently complete assigned work. The ability to effectively delegate appropriate patient care activities is essential. Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary for the patient populations served.
