Buyer - Stafford, TX

Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.

Resolve vendor/contractor grievances and supplier claims.

Process and maintain purchase orders according to vendor schedules.

Produce and manage purchasing correspondence related to purchase order requirements.

Process orders and prepare quotes via phone, email, and fax.

Review large contracts before requisitions are entered into the system.

Coordinate scheduling and delivery activities between customers and vendors.

Enter purchasing information and related data into the Syteline database.

Maintain and retain assigned vendor files.

Knowledge of production processes, raw materials, quality control, costs, and manufacturing operations.

Knowledge of transportation methods and logistics, including air, rail, sea, and road freight.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to produce professional correspondence in a timely manner.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and filing skills.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Strong multitasking and prioritization abilities.

Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.

Associate Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.

Knowledge of MRP systems and Syteline ERP.

Experience working with domestic and international customers.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
