Tax Manager

A seasoned tax professional with at least five years of public accounting experience and strong leadership abilities. Manages tax engagements, performs final technical reviews, guides staff development, oversees workflow, and supports client relationships while staying current on tax law changes. Full-time position available immediately in Tallahassee, FL. To ensure high-quality tax compliance and advisory services while leading teams, improving processes, and strengthening client satisfaction. Key responsibilities include providing final technical review of tax returns and related documents for the majority of the client base, researching complex tax issues and developing appropriate recommendations, staying current with changes in tax law and accounting procedures, planning, coordinating, scheduling, and managing client engagements to ensure all deadlines are met, communicating directly with clients to help achieve their best outcomes, directing and supporting staff and supervisors by setting objectives, providing resources, and promoting a positive work environment, monitoring product quality and personnel performance, assigning, tracking, and managing tax projects prepared by staff and supervisors, mentoring, developing, and supporting the professional growth of team members, building and maintaining internal and external relationships to identify new business opportunities, overseeing billing, collections, WIP management, and review aging and write-downs, and participating in internal CPE and training initiatives.

Qualifications include CPA certification preferred, minimum of five years of public accounting experience, demonstrated leadership and team management skills, strong decision-making abilities with initiative, ability to work effectively under pressure, and strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a heavy workload.
