Overview Mercy Clinic is seeking a Sports Medicine- fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeon to join our well-established, high-performing team of 10 orthopedic surgeons serving two state-of-the-art campuses: Mercy Hospital Joplin and Mercy Specialty Hospital Southeast Kansas in Galena, located just 15 minutes apart. As part of Mercy Clinic , a physician-led, professionally managed multi-specialty group with more than 3,500 physicians, you will practice in one of the nation’s largest and most integrated healthcare organizations. Position Highlights Responsibilities Partner with local Family Medicine/Sports Medicine physicians to provide coverage for area high schools and youth football programs, with opportunities to expand sports partnerships. Collaborate in an established Concussion Clinic Program with strong community demand. Receive collaborative support from experienced athletic trainers , physical therapists , and orthopedic PAs and NPs . Use state-of-the-art operating rooms equipped with advanced technology. Utilize the Rehabilitation center featuring HydroWorx therapy pools . Work at a dedicated orthopedic hospital and HOD surgery center at the Galena campus. Operate within a System-wide Epic electronic health record. Compensation & Benefits $650,000 guarantee within a strong, integrated health system. $50,000 recruitment bonus . Up to $20,000 relocation assistance. $5,000 annual CME allowance. Four weeks of vacation , six paid holidays, plus five CME days during the guarantee period.
