Quality Inspector / Quality Technician

We are seeking a Quality Inspector to join our custom metal fabrication team in Franklin Park. This position is responsible for inspecting fabricated metal products, reading blueprints, verifying measurements, and ensuring products meet customer specifications before shipment. Candidates with experience as a Quality Inspector, Quality Technician, QC Inspector, Fabrication Inspector, QA Technician, or Weld Inspector are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities include performing in-process and final inspections of fabricated metal products, reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications, verifying dimensions, tolerances, and product quality requirements, using measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and gauges, inspecting fabricated and welded assemblies for quality and workmanship, recording inspection results and maintaining quality documentation, communicating quality concerns to fabrication, welding, and production teams, and ensuring products meet customer and company quality standards.

Qualifications include at least 1 year of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment, ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings, experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and gauges, strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred experience includes metal fabrication, custom fabrication or job shop manufacturing, welding or weld inspection, sheet metal fabrication, structural steel fabrication, CNC machining environments, first article inspection (FAI), GD&T, quality control or quality assurance.

This position is based in an active manufacturing and fabrication facility. Candidates should be comfortable working around fabrication equipment, welding operations, cranes, and production machinery while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.

This is a contract to hire position based out of Franklin Park, IL. The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
