RN Clinical Coordinator

Reston Hospital Center, part of the HCA Virginia Health System, is seeking an RN Clinical Coordinator for our Medical Unit. Responsibilities Coordinate daily clinical operations and patient flow on the Medical Unit Oversee and support delivery of safe, evidence-based nursing care Serve as a clinical resource for nurses and interdisciplinary team members Assist with complex assessments, interventions, and care planning for medical patients Organize patient assignments and adjust staffing in collaboration with leadership Precept, mentor, and support onboarding of new nurses and support staff Promote adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and performance initiatives Facilitate effective communication among nurses, physicians, and ancillary departments Support discharge planning and patient and family education Contribute to evaluation and coaching of staff to enhance performance and professional growth Acute care clinical assessment and critical thinking Medical-surgical nursing skills Care coordination and patient flow management Electronic health record (EHR) documentation Medication administration and safety practices Leadership and team coordination Precepting and staff mentoring Interdisciplinary communication and collaboration Patient and family education Quality improvement and patient safety methodologies Time management and task prioritization Knowledge of hospital policies and regulatory standards Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification Specialty certification in medical-surgical nursing (e.g., CMSRN) preferred Prior charge nurse or coordinator experience preferred Benefits Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k #J-18808-Ljbffr
