As an Bilingual Eligibility Specialist, you will be at the heart of our mission, ensuring that every individual has access to the healthcare they deserve. Your role is pivotal in guiding applicants through the process of obtaining third-party reimbursement, ensuring they receive the care they need with empathy and clarity.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting eligibility assessments for clients, adhering to specific program guidelines.
• Verifying that clients do not have other payer sources, such as Medicaid, Medicare, or third-party insurance.
• Registering clients into the CPCDMS and completing all necessary paperwork.
• Performing data entry of eligible clients into our electronic system.
• Maintaining up-to-date and orderly eligibility files for seamless access and review.
• Conducting renewal eligibility assessments as required by each program.
• Confirming eligibility appointments and setting initial service appointments once eligibility is determined.
• Providing clients with a list of required eligibility documentation.
• Participating actively in the Performance Improvement Program.
• Promoting effective working relations and collaborating as part of a dedicated team.
• Attending all required safety training programs and adhering to safety protocols.
• Ensuring a safe environment by following proper procedures and reporting concerns.
• Traveling to other sites for training and coverage as needed.
• Performing other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the team.

Minimum qualifications include:

• High School Diploma or GED, some medical knowledge.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of medical billing experience preferred.
• Some training or background in ICD-A / CPT codes preferred.
• Ability to understand and practice bookkeeping and accounting terminology required.
• Ability to operate computers and other office machines required.
• Must be able to take responsibility and work under pressure.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and billing practices preferred.
