ANESTHESIOLOGIST

Our organization is in search of a Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologist to join our full-time clinical team at a prominent healthcare facility within the Valleywise Health Care System. This medical center serves as a community-focused, university-affiliated teaching institution, recognized as an ACS verified and state-designated Level 1 Adult Trauma Center, as well as an ABA verified Burn Center, located in the metropolitan area of Phoenix.

The role encompasses a diverse range of clinical responsibilities, including:

• Labor and Delivery
• Neonatal and general pediatric surgeries
• General surgery
• Robotic surgery
• Neurosurgery
• ENT procedures
• Plastic surgery
• Burn care
• Level I trauma care
• Orthopedic and podiatric surgeries
• Special procedures outside the operating room

Our anesthesiologists have access to TEE equipment for managing perioperative and critical care patients, with approximately 11,000 anesthesia encounters occurring annually. The position requires in-house call duties 4-5 times each month. Candidates must demonstrate flexibility, possess strong interpersonal skills, and be capable of working with high-acuity adult and pediatric patients. Additionally, the role involves supervising and educating emergency medicine and surgery residents, CRNAs, student nurse anesthetists, and medical students. This teaching component provides an excellent opportunity for our physicians to pursue academic appointments through our university affiliations.
