MSL/Senior MSL Oncology, Multiple Myeloma (Upstate NY/Alleghany)

AbbVie seeks a field-based medical science liaison or senior medical science liaison in oncology focused on multiple myeloma for upstate New York and Pennsylvania. This role involves building relationships with healthcare professionals, presenting scientific information, supporting research initiatives, and serving as a peer scientific expert in the therapeutic area.

Responsibilities

• Identify and maintain professional relationships with thought leaders, academic centers, and researchers in multiple myeloma and oncology
• Present scientific information on disease state, therapeutic landscape, and AbbVie products to physicians and healthcare professionals
• Support research initiatives including site evaluation, investigator recruitment, meetings, and external expert identification
• Prepare marketplace in new therapeutic areas and develop awareness within the medical community
• Serve as medical/scientific resource to healthcare providers and provide training to internal personnel and field teams

Requirements

• Advanced degree (PharmD, MD/DO, PhD, or APP) in relevant scientific discipline
• 3+ years relevant experience for Senior MSL or 0-2 years for MSL level
• HCIR credentialing eligibility including background checks and immunization verification
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and strong written/verbal communication
• Ability to travel up to 75% and live in or relocate to Upstate NY/Western/Central PA territory
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and teaching skills with clinical knowledge translation ability
