The FBM Program is experiencing significant growth, and we need your expertise to deliver amazing new technologies to our customers while maintaining the technical requirements of strategic deterrence.We are seeking a Project Engineer to join the Mk7 Aeroshell Integrated Product Team (IPT). The successful candidate will support the program as they ensure tasks are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role will require strong technical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This role is not a CAM, but offers an opportunity of learning Earned Value Management (EVM) in support of the IPT, with future growth opportunities in the CAM direction.Key Responsibilities:Work closely with program leaders to the best, unified solution that meets overall system performance requirements, cost, and schedule needs. Support multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.Support development and maintenance of project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and test, to ensure that projects are properly planned and executed.Identify and mitigate risks associated with projects, including technical, schedule, and budget risks.Develop and maintain project status reports, including progress, issues, and risks.Collaborate with program management to develop and maintain program-level plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.Collaborate with other integrated product teams to ensure that projects are aligned with business objectives and customer needs.The information below reflects the standard job description for this position:Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree or higher in a related discipline from an accredited collegeProject engineering experienceEligibility/willingness to obtain/maintain a Secret Security Clearance - U.S. Citizenship RequiredDesired SkillsExperience with Microsoft Project and/or Open PlanDemonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very sophisticated problems and implement constructive changeExperience working throughout the engineering lifecycle (system definition, design, build, test, and operational deployment)Demonstrated ability to work with technical leads to manage cost, schedule, and technical scopeExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Experience in Business Rhythm creation and management experienceStrong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks associated with projects.Excellent presentation skillsExcellent organizational skillsCertification in project management, such as PMI/PMP.Active or Current Secret clearancePay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $79300.00 - $147300.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
