The address must be greater than 75 miles from the contracted facility.Description: The nurse will work in an intermediate care unit. The unit typically manages a daily census of 12-16 patients. The nurse will be responsible for caring for adult patients with various diagnoses. Common patient diagnoses include COPD, congestive heart failure, acute/chronic renal failure, GI bleed, chest pain, pancreatitis, liver failure, and COVID-19. The nurse will administer cardiac drips such as Cardizem, Cardene, NTG, Amiodarone, Integrelin, Heparin, and Lidocaine. Frequent bedside procedures include the placement of PICC lines, central lines, thoracentesis, and paracentesis. The nurse will work with interdisciplinary support teams including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. The unit is equipped with lift equipment, bariatric beds, and ceiling lifts. Daily patient-to-nurse ratio is expected to be 4:1. The nurse must be willing to float to other areas as needed.
