As an Emergency Nurse, you will deliver patient and family-centered care within the Emergency Department. You will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality, compassionate care is provided to patients and their families. Responsibilities Recognize the patient or designee as the source of control and a full partner in providing compassionate and coordinated care. Deliver developmentally appropriate, culturally sensitive, evidence-based care while anticipating changes in patient outcomes. Communicate and advocate for patient values and preferences as part of the care plan evaluation. Function effectively within nursing and inter-professional teams to achieve quality patient care. Utilize data to monitor outcomes of care processes and improve quality and safety of healthcare systems. Minimize risk of harm to patients and providers through effective system practices and individual performance. Utilize information technology to support decision-making and care coordination, including navigating and documenting in the EMR. Participate in committees, professional development, and community engagement to support organizational goals.
