Job Title: Sterile Processing Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: Temp to Perm Opportunity Shift: Mid 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 15:00 - 23:30 Experience: 2 years of experience required. Level 1 Trauma experience required. Experience in sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrapping SPT required. Experience in neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, transplant, and GYN preferred. License: South Carolina license required. Certifications: CBSPD and/or IAHCSMM required. Must-Have: Ability to float to other facilities as needed. Willingness to work rotating weekends and holidays as needed. Description: The Sterile Processing Tech is responsible for the sterilization and decontamination of surgical instruments and equipment. They will ensure all medical equipment is cleaned, assembled, and sterilized according to established protocols. They must demonstrate knowledge of sterilization techniques and safety procedures. The role involves working in a high-volume environment, handling various types of surgical instruments across disciplines. Attention to detail is crucial to maintain high standards of patient safety and compliance. The Tech will work collaboratively with the surgical team and other staff members to support patient care. Candidates must be adaptable and able to float to different departments or services as needed. Travelers should be aware of potential assignments to emergency response teams during hurricane season.
