Financial Controller

We are a growing and well-established steel fabrication company specializing in structural and miscellaneous metals for commercial and industrial projects. With a strong backlog and continued growth, we are seeking a Financial Controller to lead our accounting operations and help drive strategic financial decisions.

The Financial Controller will oversee all accounting functions, financial reporting, and internal controls. This individual will play a key role in supporting leadership with financial insights while ensuring accuracy and efficiency across project-based accounting processes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing daily accounting operations including AP/AR, payroll, and general ledger
• Preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Managing job costing and work-in-progress (WIP) reporting for fabrication projects
• Developing and maintaining budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections
• Ensuring compliance with GAAP and all regulatory requirements
• Implementing and improving internal controls, processes, and reporting systems
• Partnering with executive leadership to support strategic planning and decision-making
• Coordinating with external auditors, tax professionals, and banking partners

Qualifications include:

• 5+ years of accounting/finance experience, preferably in construction or steel fabrication
• Strong understanding of job costing and project-based accounting
• Experience with accounting software such as Viewpoint Vista, Foundations, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required)
• Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Compensation and benefits include:

• Base salary: $125,000 – $180,000
• Performance-based bonus
• Full benefits package (health, dental, vision, PTO, 401k, etc.)
• Long-term equity opportunity through profit sharing within 5 years
