Manufacturing Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Production SupervisorOur Middleville, MI location is currently seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor. This role is responsible for the supervision of 30-50 UAW hourly employees in a manufacturing environment comprised of fast-paced, high-volume assembly.Responsibilities:Develop and lead a team to achieve operations, quality, and continuous improvement goals through training, coaching, subject area, and effective communicationsChampion the use of continuous improvement tools to reduce downtime, improve quality, reduce scrap, and achieve labor efficiency targetsImplement product and engineering changes successfullyModel and promote adherence to environmental, health and safety policies and initiativesEnsure safety is top priorityMonitor work order progress and drives quality and timeliness of completionMaintain time and attendanceMaintain working relationship with union by following the terms of the Collective Bargaining AgreementJob Requirements:3+ years of Manufacturing Supervisory experience is requiredExperience in Six Sigma/Lean processes is requiredPrevious supervisory experience in a union environment is strongly preferredExperience in high-volume, medium mix assembly is preferredMust feel comfortable wearing a respirator in some areas2 or 4-year degree is preferredEqual Opportunity Employer.
