Description: This role will involve working approximately 12 hours per week as House Supervisor and 24 hours per week as Transfer Center Coordinator. House Supervisor: A competent registered nurse who assumes responsibility for the coordination and direction of activities on nursing units and other departments in the absence of Nurse Managers and Administration. Represents nursing leadership by exhibiting professional behavior. Supervises staff providing general nursing care. Works independently and functions as a team member. Provides high-quality nursing services to patients, employees, administration, management, physicians, and visitors. Maintains current knowledge of regulatory standards and evidence-based practices and ensures compliance. Transfer Center Coordinator: Facilitates the efficient transfer of patients between facilities. Responsible for coordinating the safe, timely, and efficient transfer of patients into, out, and within the healthcare system. Serves as a central point of communication between referring facilities, physicians, nursing leadership, bed management, and ancillary departments. Ensures appropriate placement of patients based on clinical needs, bed availability, and organizational capabilities. Ensures compliance with regulations and maintains detailed records for quality assurance. Coordinates communication between transferring and receiving medical staff. Arranges required transportation and accommodations for patient transfer. Maintains detailed records of all transfer activities for quality assurance. Weekend and holiday rotation is required.
