Biller I - HB Patient Financial Services - FT Days

Your Role on the Team Reporting to the Supervisor of Customer Service, the incumbent is primarily responsible for providing a welcoming environment for all patients and guests to Patient Financial Services and directing them to proper resource personnel. The role involves initially screening patients or responsible relatives and referring them to the Collection Representative or, when possible, answering their questions and/or obtaining information. The incumbent answers and directs incoming telephone calls and schedules patient appointments to review their hospital account balances. The incumbent ensures that the lobby area is clean, organized, and safe at all times, prepares daily cash deposit, and uses hospital computer systems to locate patient accounts and conduct clerical data entry for the unit, and other clerical duties as assigned. What It Takes to be Successful Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills in English. Must maintain a professional appearance consistent with the hospital dress code. Must be able to effectively deal with emotional or difficult customer behavior. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish.
