Business Analyst

Job Overview Title: Business Analyst (III) - 6‑month contract. Onsite in Rancho Cordova, Sacramento, CA (relocation available for candidates already in CA). The role provides analytical, administrative, and management support for the IT Facilities and IT Implementations teams. Responsibilities Research, analyze, coordinate, interpret, and recommend courses of action on projects. Execute a full range of departmental administrative, business, human resources, and fiscal activities. Control budget, pursue organizational and operational improvements, and schedule/coordinate projects. Exercise initiative, originality, and judgment in applying established principles to new and unusual problems. Required Skills Ability to independently coordinate a variety of tasks and functions, manage workload, and set or realign priorities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including clear verbal and written expression. Diplomatic approach to secure necessary information and cooperation from diverse stakeholders. Ability to independently develop and expedite projects within deadlines, demonstrating sound judgment. Strong writing and editing skills, with mastery of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure. Proficient budgetary skills and concepts for developing and interpreting financial reports, statistical data, and charts. Excellent organization skills to prioritize workload and maintain accurate records. Independent judgment, problem‑solving abilities, and originality to successfully complete responsibilities. Demonstrated ability to analyze large data sets with strong attention to detail. Tact, flexibility, and diplomacy to effect change and maintain good working relationships. Strong initiative, self‑direction, and good judgment in identifying problems and seeking workable solutions. Knowledge of short‑ and long‑range goals of the institution and of UCDHS/UCD policies, including personnel policies.
