All Chick-fil-A leaders are responsible for embodying the vision and core values of the owner/operator, creating a fun and focused work environment, leading and training others towards success, and ensuring that all aspects of shift management result in an exceptional guest experience.

Team leaders are responsible for overseeing assigned stations throughout a shift and may be assigned to open or close the restaurant in the absence of a manager; following established opening and closing procedures.

Managers train and develop team leaders towards success, take on high-level responsibilities in the restaurant, such as food safety and operational systems, cash flow, inventory management, scheduling, and more, all while leading shifts alongside and in place of team leaders.

Restaurant directors work to implement the mission and business strategy alongside the owner/operator through developing and training restaurant leaders, crafting and implementing strategies for operational execution, and driving the team towards success and business results.

Responsibilities of the team leader:

• Participate operationally in daily activities in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant
• Help in training new employees, setting the tone for change, and acting as a role model for our team
• Open and/or close, lead changes, keyholder
• Ensure and guide team members to follow recipes and read tickets to accurately prepare all orders.
• Ensure team members are extremely precise with the weights and measures of all recipe elements.
• Motivate and train team members to work at a pace that maintains the restaurants established service speed guidelines.
• Create and implement systems to ensure the highest standards of workplace cleanliness at all times.
• Execute proper safety procedures and handling and control of cash
• Lead team members to monitor the dining area, restroom, parking lot, and general cleanliness of facilities.
• Perform any of the above tasks as needed throughout the shift.
• Address guest issues that may arise; consult with management on complex issues.
• Maintain a positive working relationship and treat all employees with respect, while providing training, direction, and feedback.
• Document employee performance adequately and policy/procedure violations and take appropriate corrective actions with team members.
• Adhere strictly to all Company policies and procedures.
