Warehouse Lead

We are seeking a dependable, motivated, and hands-on Warehouse Lead to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, supervising warehouse staff, coordinating shipping and receiving activities, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring timely customer deliveries. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, safety-minded, and committed to efficiency, leadership, and customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & SupervisionLead and support day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring productivity and workflow efficiencyTrain, and coach warehouse associates on procedures, safety standards, and performance expectationsAssign daily tasks and monitor completion of prioritiesServe as the lead point of contact for warehouse staff when management is unavailablePromote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environmentWarehouse OperationsOversee shipping, receiving, storage, inventory control, and order fulfillment processesReceive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips and invoicesOrganize and store inventory efficiently for easy access and retrievalPick, pull, pack, and prepare orders according to customer specificationsLoad and unload trucks with incoming and outgoing shipmentsAssist in coordinating deliveries and logistics schedulesInventory Management & TrackingMaintain accurate inventory records and warehouse organizationPerform routine stock checks, cycle counts, and inventory auditsUse RF scanners and warehouse systems to track inventory movementInvestigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptlyEnsure efficient movement of products in and out of the warehouseEquipment & TechnologySafely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as neededUse shipping software such as FedEx Manager, UPS WorldShip, or similar systemsUtilize computers for inventory tracking, email communication, and reportingReport equipment maintenance or repair needs promptlyDelivery & Customer ServiceSafely operate company vehicles to deliver products to customers on schedule as neededVerify delivery orders and obtain customer signatures upon receiptFollow assigned delivery routes while maintaining efficiency and accuracyProvide excellent customer service and represent the company professionallySafety & Facility StandardsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environmentEnsure compliance with company policies and OSHA safety standardsAssist in optimizing warehouse layout and workflow processesPromote safe lifting techniques and proper equipment usage at all timesQualifications & RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredPrevious warehouse, logistics, or distribution experience requiredPrior supervisory, lead, or team leadership experience preferredStrong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory controlExperience operating forklifts and pallet jacks preferredForklift certification (or willingness to obtain) is a plusBasic computer skills requiredExperience using RF scanners and shipping software preferredStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demandsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly, up to 100 lbs with team lifting for heavier itemsValid driver’s license with acceptable driving record preferredWork EnvironmentWarehouse setting with exposure to varying temperaturesFrequent lifting, bending, reaching, and standing for extended periodsOperation of warehouse equipment and machineryDriving and delivering in different weather conditions as neededThis job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
