Orientation

Day prior to start or morning of first shift

Schedule

24-hour call coverage

STEMI call coverage

7:00 AM - 7:00 AM

Practice Setting

Inpatient and Outpatient

Adult patient population (18 years and older)

Coverage Details

Average of 5 consults per day while on general call

Average of 2-6 coronary angiograms per day across inpatient and outpatient settings

Locum provider will follow their own patients until sign-off

Hospitalist service handles all admissions

Anesthesia support available as needed for inpatient procedures

14-16 patients per day

30-minute appointment slots

Procedures and Case Mix

STEMIs

Diagnostic Angiograms

Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)

Right Heart Catheterizations

Left Heart Catheterizations

IVUS

FFR

Echo Interpretation

Stress Test Interpretation

STEMI coverage and intervention required

Providers must be comfortable performing PCI and diagnostic catheterization procedures

EMR

Meditech with PatientKeeper interface

Requirements

Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology required

Interventional Cardiology Fellowship required

Residency training required

Active Oregon license required

DEA required

BLS required

ACLS required

Clean malpractice history required for emergency privileges

Must be comfortable with STEMI coverage and interventional procedures
