Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse - Post Partum

• Provide patient care for post-partum, LDRP, well baby nursery, and recoveries
• Attend births, caring for both the mother and baby
• Offer discharge education and assessment
• Manage time and prioritize patient care needs
• Assess and identify risk factors for sepsis, VTE/DVT, and other conditions
• Use of AIDET and BSSR communication tools

Requirements of the Registered Nurse - Post Partum

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred
• Current BLS and NRP certifications
• Experience with unit workflows, processes, policies, and procedures
