Our organization is seeking a Cardiac Intervention Technologist II to become part of our team at two locations: Franklin Square Hospital and Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD.

The Cardiac Intervention Technologist II will be responsible for conducting angiographic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures, ensuring effective patient management before, during, and after these procedures.

• Administer contrast media into coronary arteries as instructed by a Cardiologist during cardiac catheterization.
• Assess the impact of pathology and vital signs to determine appropriate hand injection pressure.
• Utilize knowledge of normal physiological and electrocardiographic sequences of cardiac contraction, identifying both minor and severe arrhythmias.
• Provide necessary patient care and act as a first assistant to the physician, scrubbing independently and assisting with guide wires and catheter placements.
• Manage patient scheduling and ensure smooth patient flow.
• Maintain adequate supplies for interventional and cardiac procedures, manage patient records, and assist with inventory control.
• Accurately enter patient and supply data into the RIS and/or hospital computer systems.
• Conduct hemodynamic monitoring and record calculations during cardiovascular procedures, including angiographic and therapeutic imaging.
• Perform electrophysiology and ablation procedures, ensuring quality patient care throughout all phases as per physician directives.
• Safely operate emergency equipment and respond to on-call emergencies following departmental protocols.
• Handle pre-procedural tasks such as preparing sterile trays, educating patients, and confirming necessary lab work and medical history.
• Oversee post-procedural care, including monitoring catheter insertion sites and providing discharge instructions.
• Safely operate imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images in line with departmental policies.

• Completion of an AMA-accredited Radiologic Technology program lasting at least two years.
• A minimum of two years of experience in diagnostic radiology.
• Experience in interventional radiology or cardiac catheterization, or a comparable field.
• Certification or registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
• Possession of a Radiology Technologist license in the State of Maryland.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or eligibility.

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD $41.98 - USD $71.68 per hour.
