We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. This position requires strong clinical skills, a commitment to patient care, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. The Pharmacist will be responsible for providing pharmaceutical care in various settings, including hospital medicine, managed care, and critical care environments. Opportunity to become full time.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret physician orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medication therapy.
• Conduct patient assessments to evaluate medication needs and monitor therapeutic outcomes.
• Provide drug information and education to healthcare professionals and patients regarding medication therapy.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams in managing complex medication regimens, particularly in ICU settings and Level I Trauma Centers.
• Prepare and dispense medications, including IV infusions, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Participate in pharmacy residency programs to mentor students and new pharmacists.
• Maintain accurate records of medication dispensing and patient interactions in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Stay updated on advancements in pharmacotherapy, hospital medicine, physiology, anatomy, and managed care practices.
