The Impact You’ll Make

As a hospice volunteer, you’ll be a steady presence in someone’s life when it matters most. Whether it’s holding a hand, sharing a story, reading aloud, or simply sitting in peaceful silence, your time will bring comfort not only to patients but also to their families. You’ll help create moments of peace, joy, and connection that will be remembered long after.

What You’ll Do

• Visit patients in their homes to offer companionship and emotional support.
• Read, write letters, play music, play games, or engage in light conversation.
• Provide respite for family caregivers so they can rest and recharge.
• Assist with small errands or light activities that bring comfort.
• Offer a listening ear and a compassionate heart.

To become a volunteer, all you need is a compassionate heart. Our volunteer training will teach you everything you need to know. Training and orientation are arranged to fit your schedule, and you will be provided with an assignment that fits your schedule, location, and interests. Our office is located in Simpsonville, but we have volunteer opportunities throughout Greenville County and beyond.
