We are looking for a customer-focused Call Center Specialist to support a leading organization in the energy and natural resources industry. This long-term contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping customers, navigating service-related questions, and delivering clear, attentive support in a busy contact center setting. The person in this role will manage a wide range of account and service requests while ensuring each interaction is handled accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities:

• Respond to incoming calls from customers and provide timely assistance with questions, concerns, and service needs.

• Complete service-related transactions such as starting new accounts, updating customer information, arranging deposits, and processing disconnection requests.

• Investigate and resolve issues involving billing, payments, energy usage, and general account activity.

• Record customer interactions and account changes carefully within internal service and account management systems.

• Deliver solutions to customer concerns by gathering information, reviewing account details, and following established service procedures.

• Provide an attentive and courteous experience during high-volume periods while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness.

• Support account maintenance tasks and related administrative activities, including documentation and digital record handling when needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1.5 years of experience in customer service, preferably in a call center or other high-volume support environment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
• Typing ability of approximately 30 to 40 words per minute with strong accuracy.
• Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to handle customer interactions with professionalism and empathy.
• Excellent attention to detail, reliability, and problem-solving ability in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience with billing support, account servicing, or customer support tools is preferred.
• An associate degree in Business or a related field and utility industry experience are considered an advantage.
