Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse in Illinois. This position involves providing patient care on a Medical Surgical unit within an acute care setting. The role requires delivering quality nursing care to a diverse patient population, including post-operative, general medical, and specialized cases such as orthopedics and chronic conditions. The RN will be responsible for managing patient acuity, collaborating with healthcare staff, and ensuring patient safety during night shifts.

Job Details:

• Location: Illinois, United States (Zip code: 61032)
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM); minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Illinois state license; BLS Certification; minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Post Operative Recovery or Medical Surgical nursing.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with telemonitoring; familiarity with respiratory equipment such as BiPAP, Vapotherm, High Flow; previous orientation and cross-training in phlebotomy and patient call response are desirable.
• Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive patient care, assist with telemonitoring, operate respiratory equipment, answer call lights, and participate in holiday and weekend rotation. Training is provided for unit-specific tasks such as answering phones and calling lights.
• Additional Information: Shift orientation includes two 12-hour shiftsfirst with HR and orientation, followed by precepted shifts, then independent practice. Float flexibility includes ICU and Tele units, with patients within scope. Scrubs can be any color of professional attire.
