Position Development Security & Operations (DevSecOps) Software Engineer – Space Mission Systems (SMS) Ground Mission Management (GMM) Global Satellite Configuration and Control Equipment (GSCCE) program in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Our teams are hiring Associate and Mid-Level DevSecOps Software Engineers. As a member of the GSCCE team, you will be involved with updating and modernizing the global military satellite communications (MILSATCOM) ground system that manages the Boeing-built Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) satellites payloads for all F1–F12 satellites. You will participate in the entire product development lifecycle, from conceptualization and development to the maintenance and support of the delivered system for our customers. Position Responsibilities Support deployment across multiple environments, meeting diverse standards for repeatability. Use scripting and automation technologies for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) including Bash, Groovy, Python, Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Docker. Support Windows and Linux operating systems using VMware virtualization, including host setup and interconnections. Perform Windows and Linux system administration as needed, including maintaining Windows Active Directory. Deploy, configure, monitor, troubleshoot, upgrade, and maintain a wide variety of CI/CD and Agile team tooling such as JFrog Artifactory, Nexus Repository, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Bitbucket, SonarQube, Confluence, Jira, and similar tools. Employ GitOps techniques and tooling (e.g., ArgoCD, Flux, Fleet) to declaratively manage environments. Create and maintain documentation. Strong problem‑solving skills, including the ability to review performance issues, identify root cause, recommend, and develop solutions. Perform tasks across a wide spectrum of environments, including AWS, DoD private clouds, and on‑premises data centers. Work under general direction. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher. At least 1 year of experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). At least 1 year of experience using virtualization technology (VMware, SAN, PCoIP). Experience in DevOps (Git, Jenkins, or other CI/CD tools). Experience working with container technologies. Preferred Qualifications Level 3: 3 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science with significant related work experience (see specific combinations required). An active U.S. Secret Security Clearance. Experience with microservice architecture using Docker or Kubernetes for container orchestration. Experience with identity management, certificate services, and secrets management. Experience debugging logging and performance analysis tools such as Elasticsearch, Splunk, Kibana, Grafana. Experience with open‑source software development. Experience troubleshooting software and network integration during platform deployments. Experience fine‑tuning Kubernetes and the underlying host OS for optimal performance. Knowledge of accessibility standards, best practices, and support for government security requirements involving system accreditation. Experience working in an Agile software development environment utilizing the Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) or similar tools. Additional Information Conflict of Interest assessment required. Position is 100% onsite; travel up to 10% of time. Technical assessment (CodeVue Coding Challenge) required to be considered. Summary Pay Range – Associate (Level2): $91,800 – $124,200. Summary Pay Range – Mid‑Level (Level3): $112,200 – $151,800. 401(k) plan with employer match up to 10% of eligible pay, 100% vesting immediately.
