Lead Estimator

* Understand, develop, compile and present high-level cost estimates for multiple projects
* Develop detailed cost estimates as designs develop, communicating with various stakeholders on cost drivers and value engineering opportunities across all trades
* Use efficient and aesthetic communication methods to escalate risks and communicate opportunities
* Employ a can-do attitude, ensuring all stakeholders are engaged and aligned to the program goals
* Create what-if scenario estimates for program strategy and decision making
* Develop long term strategy on estimation methodology, tool and systems for CAPEX projects

Required Skills & Experience

* 5-15 total years of estimation experience required
* Ability to do takeoffs, change management/change orders, value engineering, conceptual estimating, Bottoms up estimating
* Have a comfort level with conceptual estimating (little design and heavy assumptions)
* Ability to lead an estimate from start to finish and challenge design for value engineering and cost saving opportunities
* Experienced in Mechanical scopes (HVAC wet and dry / process piping) but rounded with Electrical, Instrumentation and Civil, Structural Scopes
o Mechanical Equipment - Boilers, chillers, Air Handling Units, Compressors, cooling towers etc.
o Utility supply - water, gas, air
o Understand ducting and piping runs.
* Experience with large scale commercial or manufacturing scope IE: R&D facilities, Data Centers, Production Plants, Warehouses
