Job Description
Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various imaging studies and be prepared to work in a dynamic environment.

Location

This position is located in a facility in City, State .

Department Information

Scanners/Rooms: One scanner available.
Floating Requirements: May require floating to another location approximately 6.5 miles away.
Types of Imaging/Studies: Cardiac studies, SPECT, bone scans, bleed studies, and gastric emptying studies.
Average Studies Per Day: 5-10 scans.

Job Duties

Conduct nuclear medicine procedures and ensure accurate and high-quality imaging.
Maintain equipment and adhere to safety protocols.
Work effectively within a team environment and collaborate with radiologists.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience in nuclear medicine.
Proficient in EMR and PACS systems, specifically Radnet and Merge Unity.
Experience with GE equipment is preferred.
BLS certification is required.

Shift & Scheduling

Shift Details: 8-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
Weekday Call Requirements: Rotating call after 4:30 PM on weekdays.
Weekend Call Requirements: Rotating weekend call.
Holiday Requirements: On-call responsibilities on a rotating basis.

Additional Information

Scrub Color/Dress Code: Teal scrubs are required, and scrubs are provided.
Cancellation Policy: The facility can cancel up to 4 shifts for a 13-week assignment and 3 shifts for shorter assignments, with the option to pay full hours for certain shifts in lieu of cancellation.
Charting System: Cerner.
Trauma Level: Acute care setting.
