Description

American Traveler is hiring a Sonographer / Echocardiography Technologist with at least 2 years of experience for a 13-week travel contract in Las Cruces, NM.

Details

• Cardiovascular Ultrasound unit within a 199-bed Joint Commission accredited acute care hospital
• Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and Certified Primary Stroke Center designation
• Covers inpatient, outpatient, and cath lab procedure exams
• Procedures include transthoracic echocardiograms, bubble studies, Definity contrast, and assistance with transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), structural heart procedures, TAVR, and TEE during Watchman
• GE ultrasound equipment used
• Meditech EMR and Change Healthcare PACS for documentation
• Day shift, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• No floating required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of echocardiography experience required
• RDCS certification required
• BLS (AHA) required
• NM State License in Echo required if applicable
• Pediatric RDCS registration preferred
• Must be able to work independently and cover IP, OP, and cath procedure exams
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• AHA certifications required

Additional Information

• Candidate must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
• Scrubs in any color are acceptable
• Located in Las Cruces, NM, with access to White Sands National Park, Organ Mountains, and extensive outdoor recreation
