IT Specialist

Job TitlePlan, organize and direct cyber IT Information Security (INFOSEC) that comply with legal, regulatory requirements to meet mission and customer needs.Design, develop, and manage systems that meet business requirements.Ensure integration of cyber, IT, INFOSEC or Information Knowledge Management (IM) programs and services to develop solutions to the integration/interoperability issues.Coordinate with project managers to ensure local application meets mission/project requirements.Make recommendations to leadership regarding support to cyber, IT, INFOSEC, or IM needs and enhancements.Serve as a member of the Executive Oversight Committee and direct the Medical Information Security Readiness Team on computer systems, network issues, and electronic transactions.Perform supervisory personnel management responsibilities, lead your unit on all assigned activities, and review work of subordinates.Develop contingency plans for computer emergency response, backup, and recovery operations.Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Tier 3 security investigation or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
